Happy Birthday Momma!!!!

I celebrated my 35th brithday on Wednesday 9/29/10!  I had a fabulous day.  Actually, Chad and I are in New York.  He's here on business and I came with him for a little fun vacation for us.  Davis is in Lafayette with my parents.  I am getting many reports and pictures from KK that Davis is doing great but we miss him sooooo much.  Of course, something big happened when I wasn't there but I'll take it as a great birthday present from Davis....he rolled over from his tummy to his back.  KK sent me a series of pics to capture the moment so we could see it.  Can't wait to get home and see him rolling in person!!!!!

First Annual Elter~Folse Beach Trip

We left last Wednesday for an adventure in Orange Beach, Alabama.  We went with Trent, Jenny and Finn(4 months) Folse and The Warners ~ Chris, Amanda and Charlotte (1 1/2 years old).  We had a great time.  We stayed at the Phoenix West and really enjoyed it! It was nice for the dads to watch the kiddos while the moms relaxed and floated around in the lazy river for a few hours.  Then, we switched so the men could enjoy some down time too. There was a water slide for the kids but of course the adults had to check it out too! :)  We grilled steaks, fried alligator and some other yummy treats while we were there!  Everyone really enjoyed themselves.  It was special for Davis and Finn too.  Although both had been on a trip to the beach before, this was their first time to touch the sand and be baptized in the water!!!!!  They even took a nap together on the beach!  They both seemed to like it!  We can't wait to take them back.  We hope to make this an annual trip!  Going in late September was perfect~  not too hout and not too crowded!!!

4 months old

Greetings from the beach!  We are on vacation with the Folses and the Warners!  Having a great time in Orange Beach!  Can we say LAZY RIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'll post pics and write more when we get home on Monday but wanted to share a few photos.  Davis is 4 months old today.  He is loving his vacation and spent some time at the pool late this afternoon.  He came to the beach with me too and I put some sand on his feet!  He liked it!  Geaux Tigers!

Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend.  The Ledets came over on Saturday night.  We watched the LSU game and Chad and Cliff made some delicious Veal Parmesean.  It was great to catch up with our friends. We hadn't seen them since Davis was born. 

Adam was a cutie too!  He taught Chad how to play a game he made up  "Guess the Team"  Adam tossed up a miniature helmet in the air and Chad had to name the team with only 2 guesses.  Of course, Chad knew his teams and didn't let Adam win!

Bath Time

Davis loves to take baths!  He likes to chill in his whale tub!  We sing "At the Car Wash" while we bathe him and he smiles and giggles.  His favorite time is when he's bundled up in his hooded towel before we put his pajamas on!  Here are a few pics from bath time Thursday night. 

He had small explosion right before ( if you know what I mean) so I took off his diaper and was holding him naked while getting the bath ready and of course he peed on me.  Then, as soon as he got in the tub he peed again.  It was quite funny and I'm sure it won't be the last time! Ha!!

Weekday trip to Lafayette

It's been so nice to be off of work for a while. I am really enjoying my time with Davis and loving the things I can do while I'm off.  For instance, going to Lafayette on Wednesday.  Davis and I went so I could get my hair cut and colored.  Yes, I still drive back to see my girl Jeanne. She just does such a great job!  It's also my excuse to see everyone too! We stopped by to visit with Dot.  Then, Davis got to spend the evening with KK and Pop Pop while mommy enjoyed a Girls Night Out with Amy, Elena, and Peggy!  It was lots of fun! 

Auntie came over to play with Davis and can't get over how big he's getting!  He sure is growing!  We laugh at his big head, no neck and thunder thighs!!!!  Love it!  He's eating a lot  5oz. every 3 hours.  Sometimes he even eats 6 ounces.  I think we will need to start him on rice cereal soon! 

I certainly have been enjoying my time with my little man.  I don't go back to work until

 Novemeber 1st and boy is that going to be hard!  I am cherishing every moment I have!
