Big Boy, Big Changes
My baby boy is growing. He's 14 1/2 months old now and is cuter than ever. He's really at a fun age. He's happy, energetic, silly, curious and just precious!!! (Sorry, I can't help myself!)
As the new school year is beginning for me and my students, Davis has some new beginnings too. He moved up to the Toddler A room at "school" There are 7 kids in his class. No more sleeping in cribs. They have little cots to sleep on. Another big boy thing is that they don't sit in a highchair. They all sit in chairs around a table. It's so cute.

Davis loves to read and is often carrying his books around the house. He tries to walk and read! Hilarious. His favorite book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear and he's quite fond of Clifford too. He's "talking" a lot too. Some things we understand and some things are just conversations with himself. He says dada, momma, ball, thank you, uh oh, no no and my favorite it Yum yum. He walks to the pantry and says yum yum! It's so funny!
And the biggest change... NO MORE BOTTLES OR PACIFIERS!!!!! Woo hoo. About 3 weeks ago we stopped giving him the noonie to go to bed and that was it. He did fine and didn't even put up a fuss. Davis has 12 teeth and is teething again. He just got a new Elmo big boy toothbrush.
He has been off of the bottle for a week and is finally starting to really drink his milk out of a sippy cup. He didn't cry for milk or the bottle but just won't drink the milk. He would drink juice and water out of the sippy cup but not milk. He's getting the hang of it now! It's so much fun watching him grow. He makes us smile everyday! What a special blessing he is to us! We love you Davis!

Fun with the Folses
The Folses came to visit us this weekend! We had a great time. We were lonesome for them. It was so much fun to watch Davis and Finn play together. Now that they are both walking, it was quite busy but tons of fun. They came in town on Friday night. The boys took a bath and had fun splashing around in the tub.
On Saturday, we all headed to New Orleans to Joel and Ericka's for Maddie's name blessing ceremony. It was nice to see our friends and be part of her special day. Sunday was a great day too. We started the day with a fabulous breakfast... Beignets from Cafe du Monde (Mandeville) Then we packed up the boys and headed to Global Wildlife Center. It was HOT but we all enjoyed it. Davis and Finn were troopers and enjoyed seeing all of the animals that came up to the wagon. We had a wonderful weekend with "my cousin, my friend" and we look forward to doing it again soon!

Summer fun
Our summer has been busy and fun. I can't believe it is almost over. I've been working in my classroom trying to get things ready. Chad is all settled in his new office and Davis has been enjoying a few days a week at school. He'll be moving into the next classroom on Tuesday. In the midst of all of the work we have been luck enough to have had a few invites to our friends camps.
We enjoyed a fun weekend in Cypremort Point with Mel and Vince for the STM Alumni fishing rodeo. KK and PopPop kept Davis for the whole weekend. It was a nice treat. Especially since the next day was our 3rd anniversary. We had dinner plans but instead I spent the evening in bed with a 24 hour stomach bug. Ughh.
Last weekend we went to Bay St. Louis to Kim and Nathan's camp. It was so nice to hang out with all of our dear friends The Abercrombies, The Folses and The Schoefflers. It's amazing to still be so close to my highschool friends and having kids all the same age. It's so fun watching them play together. We are so blessed.

Weekend Fun
Our weekend was busy but lots of fun. We had dinner with our friends, the Boudreauxs, on Friday night. On Saturday morning we headed across the lake to Camille and Ella Barrois' birthday party. It was at the Carousel/Amusement Park in City Park. It was fun. I had never been there so it was exciting for me too. Davis LOVED riding on the carousel. Watching his face light up and seeing that sweet happy smile melted my heart!
Grammy and Pop came in for a visit on Sunday. Davis wore his baseball outfit in honor of Derek Jeter making his 3000th hit with the New York Yankess! Chad was super excited about this and Davis seemed happy too!

July 4th Fun
We enjoyed a weekend by the water with our friends in Cocodrie for the 4th of July. The Reauxs, Giglios and the Words were lots of fun to hang and relax with . The kids all enjoyed themselves swimming in the pool and spalshing around at that splash at the CocoMarina. Chad went fishing while Davis and I played in the water and took a nice long nap!!!!! Fresh red snapper is always so yummy. It was nice to get away and enjoy some R&R with good friends. A good time was had by all. We can't wait to go back!
Davis gave Kellen a big kiss! Priceless.

Celebrations
We've been busy little bees over here these past couple of weeks. Since Chad has been working from home, I've been playing secretary for him. Although it comsumes a lot of my time I actually like it. ;) He just got the keys to his new office ( close by our house) Yeah!!! Now he just needs to find a secretary! Ha!
Grammy and Pop came in town to visit a few weekends ago. We celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. WOW! That is amazing!!! We love you.
We celebrated Father's Day at our house with our friends, The Warners and The McIntyres. Chad loaded up with grill with lots of chicken and ribs! We ate lots of yummy sides and enjoy many laughs. Charlotte and Davis cruised around the house while sweet Maddie smiled and cooed. We had a great day!
The Mills invited us over to celebrate Baker's first birthday! We had a fun time visiting with them, the Parnells and the Bristers. It was fun to see all of the kiddos play together! Davis even at Domino's pizza for the first time. No complaints from him. He's a porker! Ha! He has no problem eating!
(I left my camera in Lafayette so I'll have to borrow some pics from Kate and post later)
Our summer has been packed and moving by too quickly. Where did June go?
We are headed to the Reaux's camp in Cocodrie for the 4th of July!
