Crib Time

Davis slept in his bedroom in his crib last night for the first time.  He's been sleeping in the bassinet in the pack and play in our room for the past three months but we finally made the move.  He did great! Me, not so much!  Ha!  I had to sleep in the room across the hall from Davis' room just so I could keep an eye on him.  I had the video monitor on too!  Ha!  We are very blessed that Davis is so good and sleeps through the night. He slept from 9:30 to 7:15 this morning!!! Woo hoo!!! 

I am not going back to work until November 1st but Davis and I went to visit my 2nd grade class at CES today!  They were so excited to see us.  I showed my kids a little project called Top Banana and had to take Davis' pic in his cute "Top Banana" outfit. He's at such a fun age now... giggling, cooing and being able to

play with his toys!

   

Weekend Fun

Well we've been having lots of fun meeting new friends and visiting with our family over the past few days!  On Thursday we had lunch with Missy and Bonnie Kate and met sweet Baby Hayes.  Deacon and Mary Miller were so good and helped us take a cute pic with Davis and Hayes.

On Friday, we went to Lafayette.  Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Jade and Mallory babysat Davis for the first time.  Chad and I met some friends for a night out at Ruth's Chris.  It was a fun night.  Davis is usually an angel and never cries except for a diaper change and if he's hungry.  Well, he cried the whole time with Auntie.  I think she was a little nervous but all went well.  She kept Davis from 7-10:30 and I think she fed him 3 times!!!  Ha!! Ha!!

Saturday was lots of fun too!  Chad went to the Family Fantasy Football draft party at Aunt Jamie and Scott's house and then went to Vince's camp in Cypremort Point so I had some time to run around and visit!  It was nice.  First Davis and I went to the nursing home to see Dot ( my 93 year old grandmother)  Her nurse brought her outside and there was a nice cool breeze.  Dot got to meet Davis, her 5th great grandchild, for the first time.  Although it was short lived and she won't remember ( she has Alzheimer's) she was very proud and happy to meet Davis.  She kept saying how beautiful he was.  My mom, KK, was feeding Davis and all Dot could talk about was how well behaved Davis was when he ate lunch with her at the buffett inside.  "He didn't even cry one bit," she said.  Ha!  Sweet Dot.  We love you and are so glad you and Davis got to meet each other.

Next, we headed over to my cousin Melanie's house to visit with Kate and Vinny.  While we were there, my other cousin Jenny and her little boy Finn came over to play.  We also got to meet Brennan Daivd too.  One day, I'm sure these boys will be partners in crime.  But they are so sweet and innocent now!

Finally, on Sunday, we stopped by my friend Kelly Schoeffler's house to meet sweet baby William!  He's an angel.  He's a little bit bigger than Davis was when he was born.  I don't even remember Davis being so tiny because he's growing so fast.

We had a great weekend and even stayed an extra night so Pop Pop could cook dinner for us!  We had a great time hanging out with our family and friends!

A Big Day!!!

 We are so happy and blessed to have such a wonderful baby boy in our lives.  It is so amazing how much you can love someone!!!! Today, August 25th, Davis is 3 months old!  He's about 23 inches long now and probably weighs about 12 1/2  pounds.  He's growing so fast!  He is so much fun these days!  Davis is such a happy baby!  He smiles all the time and is "talking" a lot!  He's napping in his crib today.  We are trying to move him to his big boy crib and out of our room.  He's getting too big for the bassinet in our room. I'm so sad to do this but I know it's time.  It's a big day today because Davis is 3 months old and my sister, Stephanie, aka "Auntie"  is the big 4-0!!!!  Happy 40th birthday, Stephanie!  We love you and hope you have a wonderful day celebrating!

First Vacation to the Beach

KK and PopPop took us to the beach! We had a great condo at Turquoise in Orange Beach. We had a great time. We celebrated KK and Uncle Glenn's Birthday while we were there. We all wore crazy hats too. The country band Sugarland had a concert at The Wharf so KK and PopPop babysat while me, Chad, Stephanie and Jade went to the concert. It was awesome and fun to have a night out! We can't wait to go back!
