My sweet little happy baby!

 

My sweet friends, Kimberly Barrois and Missy Guice hosted a Sip and See to meet Davis.  He is one month old.  Can't believe how fast the time is going.  It was such a nice party.  Chad brought me and Davis to Missy's house and came back to get Davis.  Then mommy had some girl time to herself for a few hours!  It was a nice party and a nice treat to have some adult time! 

                                               

First Road Trip.... Lafayette

Davis is 3 weeks old and already on the road! We took a road trip to Lafayette for the weekend.  we stayed at KK and PopPop's. It was lots of fun and very eventful.  Davis went to his first restaurant, Samurai Sushi.  We met Finn  for the first time, celebrated Chad's first Father's Day, met Vinny and Kate, and had a visit from Grammy and Pop too!  It was a fun filled weekend!  We can't wait to go back!

First Bath    Our first week at home was great!  KK stayed  with us to help us get settled.  We were very happy to have her with us.  Davis is an angel and we love him dearly.  I love every minute with him.  Even feeding in the wee hours of the morning!

Our Little Bundle of Joy

We headed to the hospital Monday morning to get ready for the arrival of Baby Elter.  We were very excited and nervous at the same time.   Our parents came to Mandeville to be here and wait for the news.  It was a looooooooong day.  Just as Chad was saying this is crazy, and we should just go home and wait, I got up and noticed that my water broke.  It was about 4:30 in the afternoon.  We had been at the hospital since 5:00am.   I was feeling okay but starting to feel some pain and pressure. 
Finally got an epidural around 10:00 pm and was much better. 

Chad and the nurse helped me prepare for a while and Dr. Guillory came in around 3:00 a.m.  Then the fun beagn.... Ha!   And then.......

             
          Davis Charles Elter was born on May 25, 2010 at 3:24 a.m   6 lbs.12oz.   18 1/2 inches
