Christmas Eve

The holidays were GREAT... So could in fact, that things are just settling down and I"m just not able to upload pics, etc.  So, I'll be playing catch up this week....  Here goes...
We headed to Lafayette on Wednesday, December 22nd.  We were laughing about how loaded down and packed up we were.  ( Little did we know we'd be even more loaded on our way back!  ha!)  We had fun hanging out with my parents and Steph, Jade and Mal! We went out to eat and played around.  I was able to see some friends and their kiddos on Thursday morning which was nice.
This Christmas was a little different because we did not spend it with the Richardson's (my mom's side) and our first Christmas without Dot at home (she's 92 with Alzheimer's in the nursing home).  BUT, we had a GREAT Christmas nonetheless!  Christmas Eve day, we went to visit Dot and she looked great!  She was happy to see Davis and talked to us for a bit! It was a nice visit.

After our visit when headed to Jenny and Trent's for some holiday cheer and delicious pizza from Alesi's!  MMMM... That evening, PopPop made a delicious seafood gumbo and potato salad.  It was so good.  We stuffed ourselves and opened presents.  It was lots of fun and Davis was a little ham.  He just started sitting up the day before so it fun to watch him.  He got some really cool gifts....  a playhouse toy from Nanny Stephanie, a rocking horse from Mal with a cowboy hat and boots from KK and PopPop. Just to name a few.. It was too cute and he loved it.  He got lots of toys that make all kinds of noise!  Ha!

"Opening all of these presents is hard work... I need a break"
Davis even got some precious pjs from my parents friends, the Kaufmans.  They were so cute, we put them on him immediately... LIFE IS GOOD.... isn't that the truth!
