Weekend Update

We had a great weekend.  Aunt Tammy and her boys, Parker and Bryce were in town.  Parker had a lacross game in Madisonville on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day.  Chad, Davis and I had lunch on the water at Friends and then heading to the game for a little while!  It was fun!  I don't think Davis will be playing Lacrosse when he's older though.  I was so nervous with those sticks!  Ha!


  



Chad enjoyed an evening out with the boys.  He headed to New Orleans for the night to meet up with Trent, Joel and Chris. Tammye and her boys spent the night here.  Davis went to bed early.   

The boys were happy playing games on the laptop and ipad while Tammye and I visited on the patio!  It was good night for all.



I am so very thankful for my talented Aunt Tammye.  She helped me decorate my house with all of my new things from my grandmother, Dot.  My house looks great!  I'm so excited!  It's nice to have a little change.  Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!

9 months old

Davis is 9 months old today!  I really can't believe it!  I remember how I counted each week for 9 months while I was pregnant thinking it was forever. And now these 9 months have just flown by! So amazing.  Everyday is something new and everyday I count my blessings for my wonderful baby boy!  Here are a few shots that we took today and one at dinner last night!  Check out those thighs!  Ha!  I could just eat him up!

Catching Up

 We were very productive last weekend cleaning, polishing and trying to arrange my grandmother's furntiure in our house.  We sprayed painted her wicker patio set Our arms were hurting after 10 cans of spray paint but it looks great!  Hoping to get everything squared away this weekend.  I'll post pics of the finished products!

                                                                                                                                                                                     We are trying to cook different things these days and enjoying it!  Friday night was lamp chops with wine sauce and Saturday night, Chad made homemade pasta for our Chicken Parmesean.  Both meals were fantastic!

Grammy and Pop came in town for a visit on Sunday afternoon.  It was nice to see them.  They spent the night and Davis enjoyed a day at home on Monday with them and Chad.  It was President's Day, Chad was off but I had to go to work.  Hmm????  Oh well, my week long Mardi Gras break is coming up soon and I cannot wait for some time off!!!!! Here are some random pics of Davis during the week.  He loves playing with his toys and is working hard to start crawling.  He is quite entertaining these days.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is a day of LOVE and I am so lucky because I know I am loved and that I love so many!   I am so lucky to have two special men in my life ~My sweet hubby and my precious Davis!  What a lucky woman I am to share my life with them!  We had plans to cook a nice dinner... grilled red snapper and roasted potatos with salad... but I came home feeling yuck (catching a cold) and Chad didn't get home until 7:00.  So, we settled for Isabella's pizza and it was great!  Chad just made me some theraflu and I'm about to go to bed.  What a lovely romantic Valentine's Day   Ha!  But, I was happy as can be with my boys!  I hope everyone else had a great day and know how much they are loved.

Thank you KK for the gifts for Davis.  He really enjoyed opening the bag of treats.  He really likes his books and his new monkey but I think the tissue paper was his favorite!  It was hilarious watching him opening the bag and playing with everything!

Fat Lip

Davis got his first bobo today at school. :(  He was reaching for a toy and fell straight into it and it busted his lip.  Poor baby.  His teachers said he only cried when he hit the toy and then played with his ice pack and smiled. Of course, I was so sad to hear this but quickly realized that this will be the first of many bumps and bruises that my little man will get.  He's a trooper and was all smiles when I picked him up this afternoon.  So of course we had to had a photo shoot! (I'm loving my new camera!)   

Davis is also teething.  He already has 2 bottom teeth and we are waiting on his two top teeth to come out.  Should be soon.  We've been focusing on the top and never even noticed that he's also getting two more bottom teeth.  Wow, what a trooper!

Big week for Mr. Davis...  fat lip, we lowered the mattress in his crib, and he got a new carseat

Superbowl XLV

We had a nice, relaxing weekend.  We stayed around here and enjoyed some sunshine after a week of 'winter weather" cold and rainy.  Our friends, The Lamberts, came over to watch the big game with us. The Greenbay Packers were victorious over the Pittsburgh Steelers.   We enjoyed visitng with our friends and feasting on some good food.  It was fun but certainly not as exciting to watch the game as it was last year whent the Saints won! Davis stayed up for most of it... I think he knew we had company and didn't want to miss one bit of the action!  Ha!  (maybe it's because he fell asleep at the beginning of the game)

So football season is officially over and now Chad is ready for baseball to begin!  Maybe we can make it to see the Yankees play!

New Baby Cousin

It's a girl!!!!!  Melanie and Vince had a baby girl today!  Kate and Vinny have a baby sister.  We are still waiting on a name!  She's precious!  We can't wait to meet her!  Davis will have lots of run with his new cousin.

Davis 5-25-10

We used to laugh at Davis as she slept so contently in what we like to call "touchdown" position.  He always looks so comfortable and relaxed in his crib.  Matter of fact, he came into this world like that.  Seriously, check out the pic moments after he was born. So cute.

10-15-10

Well, Monday night was a different story...  I put Davis to bed as usual and all was fine.  He was sleeping soundly on his back.  I went to bed.  Then at about 1:15 am  I looked at the monitor and totallly freaked out.  Davis was on his stomach!  Now, I know that it is okay for him to do this because he is older and can turn his face but I had never seen this and it scared me.  I ran to his room yelling his name (can you picture this?  I really did)  My precious angel just lifted his head, looked at me and smiled.  I'd love to know what he was thinking.....( chill mom, I'm fine!  Are you crazy, woman?)  I just had to see if he was breathing!  Looking at the monitor, it looked like he was face planted in the crib.  He wasn't and was just fine.  So....  we have a tummy sleeper now and it's actually cute.  I have actually been sleeping for the past two nights now and not so freaked out anymore!
